Gustav Gerster, the Biberach based textile company, celebrated its 125th anniversary in 2007.
Founded in 1882 the company has lived through the turbulent ups and downs of Germany's history and today, despite the current world financial situation, Gerster has a strong, healthy business footing. Starting as a small textile trimmings company, Gerster is now the largest trimmings, tieback and tassel producer in Germany.
After the second world war Gerster began producing curtain tapes and today manufactures over 40 million metres per year! In the 1980s curtain production was added to the manufacturing programme and today our range of products in this field includes printed, woven and embroidered fabrics.
We employ over 350 people at our head quarters in Germany (Biberach) and in our subsidiary factory in Poland (opened in 1995). Our modern in-house production of fabric weaving and tieback/tassel assembly are traditionally of a very high quality standard: something which we are immensely proud of and which we are determined to maintain.
