On October 8 and 9, 2026, we celebrated the 30th anniversary of our branch in Poland together with our customers and our Polish Gerster team.

To celebrate this special milestone, we hosted a two-day in-house exhibition in beautiful Spała. In addition to showcasing our latest collections and products, our guests enjoyed a varied program featuring exciting workshops on artificial intelligence and social media for interior designers, as well as creative workshops on how to work with and use our curtain tapes.

We wrapped up the first day of the trade show with a lively barbecue and a get-together in a relaxed atmosphere. The trade show continued on the second day, followed by the festive highlight that evening: our grand anniversary gala. Over dinner and the celebration that followed, we enjoyed an unforgettable evening with our customers, partners, and employees.

For 30 years, Gerster Poland has stood for trust, partnership, commitment, and shared success. We are especially proud of our dedicated Polish team and the many long-standing customer relationships that have shaped our success story over three decades.

On September 23 and 24, 2026, the SÜDBUND Home Show took place in Backnang. More than 1,300 trade visitors took the opportunity to learn about the latest trends, products, and services in the home furnishings industry from 112 exhibitors.

In addition to a wide range of new products, the focus was primarily on personal interaction and networking. The trade show provided an ideal platform for maintaining existing contacts and establishing new business relationships.

On 1 September 2026, our new trainees joined us in various departments. We welcome them and look forward to their new ideas, their curiosity and their team spirit.

A particular focus of our training programme is on the rotation principle:
Our trainees rotate through all relevant departments and areas within the company. This enables them to gain a holistic understanding of our processes, discover their individual strengths and develop a broad understanding of our business – from central functions right through to operational teams.

To ensure you get off to a good start, we offer:

• Structured onboarding week
  including tours, training sessions and getting to know the teams
• Dedicated contact persons in the departments
  for support, enquiries and ongoing feedback
• Planned rotation placements
  to gain a genuine understanding of the company
• Practical projects, regular feedback and good prospects of being taken on
  for a bright future after your apprenticeship

The Caravan Salon Düsseldorf 2026 got off to a flying start, sending a strong signal to the industry: over 85,000 visitors took advantage of the first weekend and the Preview Day to find out about the latest vehicles, products, innovations and trends across 15 halls and the outdoor exhibition area. This high level of interest confirms the great appeal of caravanning as a flexible and personalised form of holiday.

We were also there at the trade fair and took the opportunity to gain a comprehensive first-hand impression of the latest developments and innovative solutions in the caravanning sector.

Until 6 September, 834 exhibitors from 41 countries will be showcasing a wide range of products: motorhomes and caravans of all sizes and price ranges, base vehicles, accessories, technical equipment, fit-out components, tents, mobile homes, as well as offers relating to campsites, motorhome sites and travel destinations. Visitors will thus gain a unique insight into the world of mobile travel and can find their dream vehicle right there and then.

Last Friday, we held our Family Day. Our employees had the opportunity to show their families their workplace and take a look behind the scenes at Gerster together.

With tours of the facility, delicious food, and fun activities, there was something for everyone, young and old alike.

It was a wonderful afternoon filled with many interesting insights and personal encounters.

Our Gerster trainees launch their own online store

Just in time for the 2026 Schützen season, our interns at Gerster have launched a very special project close to their hearts: the “Schützen Shop by Gerster.” With handmade, locally inspired accessories, they’re bringing the excitement of the Biberach hometown festival directly to the people, demonstrating true entrepreneurial spirit in the process.

Under the motto “We Make "Schützenfest" Visible,” our apprentices have been working on a great idea over the past few weeks and months.

The goal: to create products that allow the people of Biberach to express their connection to their hometown in style. The result is an exclusive collection that perfectly captures the Biberach spirit.

2,750 trade visitors, 170 exhibitors, and two fully booked halls– Hometex Summer 2026 was a resounding success. The Bad Salzuflen Exhibition Center once again served as the meeting place for the home textiles, sleep, and bedding industries.

In two fully booked halls, exhibitors showcased their latest collections and innovations in home textiles, mattresses, and sleep systems—to great acclaim from trade visitors.

For us, Hometex 2026 was a complete success. We were particularly pleased with the numerous personal, interesting, and—above all—valuable conversations we had with customers, trade visitors, and business partners. The direct exchanges, new contacts, and many positive encounters have once again demonstrated how important Hometex is as a platform for innovation, networking, and

Once again this year, our made-to-measure curtain configurator was part of our trade show presentation. The hybrid solution for retailers generated a great deal of interest, as it combines simple consultation with digital custom manufacturing. End customers can select their desired fabric directly from the sample rack and customize their curtains in just three steps. For retailers, the concept offers key advantages: It requires neither specialized curtain staff nor inventory management, and the space requirements and operational effort remain minimal—we take care of everything else.
